Growth Based Nurturing Requires The Right Conditions Much Like Crystals.
How often do we ask ourselves nurturing questions? Albeit uncomfortable, asking and answering questions help us figure out what we need and how to feel more complete in order to nurture one’s self for growth.
After all, we are all "experts" in knowing ourselves best.
When answering nurturing questions we can then create affirmations from the answers we find. Affirmations greatly increases the capability for us to nurture ourselves and grow.
This affirmation makes me think about quartz crystals and their requirements for growth.
Quartz crystals generally grow out of dark places like caves or deep within mountainous rocks. In order to grow or form they must have the right conditions that include heat and pressure, as well as silica nutrients and water.
How does this apply to human nurturing? Well the conditions for humans also have to be right for growth.
Let’s break the above affirmation down.
Being grounded typically means that you are sensible, reasonable and assured within yourself to focus on growth. The growth I am referring to is your spirit's growth.
Growth is always a work in progress.
Growth requires the ability to adhere to one's needs with things like self care.
Nurturing makes for roots grounded in soul care.
Let’s now examine what nurturing really is and how deeply it links to being grounded.
Nurturing requires two ingredients, compassion (recognizing its need) and kindness (recognizing it as an action).
When one consistently is grounded and nurtures one's soul self, unapologetic growth happens.
Three tips that can help with self nurturing for growth:
1) Examine the kind of attention your spirit needs and decide that you will give it to yourself freely. You ought not to expect it from others.
Growing up I did not receive a lot of compliments/encouragement so now I give it to myself often. I agree that I have done a great job or that I am good at business or communication or what ever it is. On the opposite end I forgive myself freely as well for falling short.
2) Nurture your capability to think creatively.
Take time and break thoughts down into questions. Utilize the three primary intelligence centers of the body. What does my gut (solar plexus) tell me, how will my emotions be impacted (heart), how does this effect the purpose (third eye) for my life?
3) Place a higher value on listening to your inner voice.
You may have to be still for you to hear your thoughts and then loop back to #1.
Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 and then repeat steps 1,2 and 3 and then repeat steps 1,2 and 3.
Here are three crystals I recommend for a focus on nurtured growth.
